The Pumpkin Adventure part two: Bagels.

When I get angry or irritated all I want to do is to destroy something. But I control myself. Someday, I will definitely try this method described in No one belongs here more than you by the fantastic Miranda July.

The reason for the anger today is a broken memory card. Let's not get into details, but I couldn't do my planned post. I guess I'll do it another day. So today I'll give you these pumpkin bagels and I know I'm repeating myself by saying this, but I got this recipe from Celine's blog have cake, will travel. I've been drooling over this recipe for quite some time, but never had any pumpkin to do it with. Now that I do, I made sure to make them as soon as possible. You find the recipe here!

I've made bagels before, but they have only been so and so. These on the other hand, were great. They came out really pretty and were easy to make. My only "problem" was what to put on them? I think plain veg-butter whas a bit boring, but it doesn't go very well with jam. I don't know about hummus? I think veg cream cheese might be tasty, but to get that I would have to cross an ocean. What's your suggestion?

Ooh! Guess what? I'm the winner in one of Miso For Breakfast's giveaways! This morning I read my name as the winner of   The Vegan Girl's Guide to Life  by Melisser Elliott. I'm so happy!

  1. Congrats on winning Melissers book. It's great!

Those bagels look really fantastic. I think hummus would be a great topping, maybe red pepper hummus. Or sunflower seed spread, if you have it.

  2. Yep, I'll have to make me some hummus tomorrow. And sunflower spread too. I usually makes it myself, since it's so easy. Thanks for the suggestions!
