Twisted saffron sweet bread

















Here's something to brighten up the dark days of December! I vibrant yellow sweet bread, twisted and filled with shredded almond paste.

Isn't it amazing what a camera on a tripod with long exposure time will do? I wanted the picture to be bright and colorful, suitable for the vibrant yellow color of the saffron, but since it was already 3 PM, I had to expose the picture for 13 seconds! Below is the more true-to-reality lighting conditions. However, I kind of liked that version a lot too.
