Sandwich chocolate.

One thing I had never seen before I moved here, was something called "sandwich chocolate". It's not like those spreads you can see everywhere, such as Nutella and similar stuff. No, this is firm chocolate in thin strips meant to be eaten on bread. I interrogated a Faroese friend of mine, and she said that it's very popular (which you can also tell by all the different brands sold in the supermarkets) and that's it most commonly eaten with butter beneath it, on bread. It's supposedly also very tasty on toast, since it will start to melt. I've tried it, but I think it feels a bit weird eating firm chocolate on bread. I think melted on toast will suit me better.

As I mentioned, there are some different brands, and this one has the prettiest package. Earlier I've only seen the milk chocolate one (which obviously isn't vegan) but when I saw this dark one today I had to buy it.

(Psst, I've been thinking about how to display my photos online, and settled with a blog, at least for now. So if you want to see some non-food related pictures, head over here!)
